Privacy Policy - Proximity Feedback Assessment Tool | Purpose Fueled Impact

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 26, 2026

Purpose Fueled Impact ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Proximity Feedback Assessment Tool (the "Tool").

Quick Summary: We collect only your email and payment info to deliver the tool. Your assessment is completely anonymous—we cannot link your responses to your identity. We use anonymous assessment data to improve the tool and may share aggregate learnings and research publicly (e.g., trend reports). We do not sell your information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Payment and Delivery Information

When you purchase the Tool, we collect minimal information necessary to complete your transaction and deliver the product:

  • Email Address: To send you the tool access link, receipt, and assessment results
  • Name: Collected by Stripe for payment processing
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe (we do not store or have access to your credit card details)

Important: We do NOT require you to create an account, provide your organization name, or share any other personal details beyond what's necessary for payment and delivery.

1.2 Anonymous Assessment Data Only

The assessment itself is completely anonymous. When you complete the Proximity Feedback Assessment, we collect statistical data WITHOUT any connection to your identity:

What we collect (anonymously):

  • Proximity scores and component scores
  • Types of barriers identified (e.g., language, timing, access)
  • Organization size categories (e.g., serves 500-1000 people)
  • Demographic match ratings
  • Feedback collection methods used
  • Top concerns and recommendations generated

What we DO NOT collect:

  • Your organization's name
  • Specific program names or details that could identify you
  • Geographic locations beyond general region
  • Any information that links your assessment responses to your email or identity

Why this matters: Your assessment responses are stored separately from your payment information. We cannot trace your assessment results back to you, which means your feedback gaps, scores, and recommendations remain completely confidential.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you access the Tool, we may automatically collect basic technical information:

  • Browser type and version
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • General usage data (pages viewed, time spent)

This information is not linked to your identity and is used only to improve the tool's performance and user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Deliver the Service

We use your email address and payment information only to:

  • Process your payment and send you a receipt
  • Respond to customer support inquiries if you contact us

Note: After payment, Stripe redirects you directly to the assessment tool. You complete the assessment anonymously and view your results on screen. You have the option to email the results to yourself from the results page if you choose.

2.2 Improve the Tool

We use anonymous assessment data (which cannot be linked to you) to:

  • Improve the accuracy of proximity score calculations
  • Refine our recommendations algorithm
  • Understand common feedback gaps across different sectors
  • Develop new features and resources
  • Conduct research on proximity feedback trends
  • Create aggregate insights, reports, and learnings about community feedback practices in the social impact sector
  • Share anonymized findings publicly to advance the field (e.g., "45% of assessed organizations identified language barriers as a gap")

Important: Any research, reports, or public insights will only include aggregate, anonymized data. Individual organizations or responses will never be identified or shared.

2.3 Optional Communications

We may occasionally send you:

  • Updates about new features or improvements to the Tool
  • Educational resources related to proximity feedback and community engagement
  • Invitations to schedule a follow-up strategy call (optional)

You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time using the link in any email.

2.4 Legal Compliance

  • Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax reporting)
  • Prevent fraud and protect against security threats
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Tool:

  • Payment Processing: Stripe (for secure payment processing)
  • Email Services: Email service providers for delivering assessment results and communications
  • Website Hosting: Hosting providers to maintain the Tool infrastructure

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

3.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., court orders, subpoenas, government agencies).

3.3 Business Transfers

If Purpose Fueled Impact is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.4 With Your Consent

We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/SSL)
  • Secure payment processing through PCI-compliant providers
  • Regular security assessments and updates
  • Access controls limiting who can view your information
  • Secure data storage practices

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

5.1 Payment and Contact Information

We retain your email address and payment records only as long as necessary:

  • Email Address: Retained for payment receipt purposes and to send optional service updates (which you can unsubscribe from at any time).
  • Payment Records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws

5.2 Anonymous Assessment Data

Assessment responses are stored without any link to your identity and retained indefinitely for research and service improvement. Because this data is anonymous, it cannot be identified as yours and therefore cannot be deleted upon request.

Example: We might know that "an organization serving 500-1000 people scored 68 with 3 barriers identified," but we have no way of knowing this data belongs to you because it's not connected to your email or any identifier.

You have the following rights regarding the limited personal information we collect:

6.1 Access

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you (your email address and payment records).

You have the right to request deletion of your email address. Upon request, we will:

  • ✅ Delete your email address from our email list
  • ✅ Stop all communications
  • ❌ Cannot delete payment records (required by law for 7 years for tax purposes)
  • ❌ Cannot delete anonymous assessment data (because it's not linked to you and we cannot identify which data is yours)

6.3 Correction

If your email address changes or is incorrect, you can contact us to update it.

6.4 Opt-Out of Communications

You can opt out of optional marketing or educational emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email. You cannot opt out of essential service emails such as payment receipts.
